Project Launch (PL) is an education-based non-profit organization.

Created in 2012, PL serves the communities of Deer Isle, Stonington and the Blue Hill Peninsula.  An original model, our mission is to:“Provide support to local students and families to help them make a successful transition from high school to post-secondary learning and opportunities.”

How Does Project Launch Work?

  • During high school, PL provides critical support to local students through opportunities to identify career and life interests, explore college & workforce pathways, participate in apprenticeships and develop needed skills for post-secondary success.

  • Post-secondary, PL continues to be a trusted resource and support for students and adults as they begin or transition to college and the workforce.

  • PL is free and open to all current DISHS students, past graduates and community members.
